Cardiac Catheterization
Cardiac catheterization is a procedure used to measure blood flow in the arteries around the heart, to check blood flow and pressure in heart chambers, and to look for defects in heart valves and muscles. The procedure involves inserting a thin, flexible tube into a blood vessel in the arm, neck or groin, and threading it into the heart.
