Shoulder Surgery, arthroscopic, with acromioplasty
Shoulder arthroscopic surgery allows doctors to see inside the joint by making small incisions and inserting a tiny camera. Arthroscopy can also be used to repair joint problems or injuries, including a torn rotator cuff (muscles that surround part of the shoulder joint). One cause of this injury is bone spurs from the acromion (a bone that is part of the shoulder blade), which rub on the muscles and tendons. Removal of these spurs is called an acromioplasty. Note: Estimates below are based on Medica Choice network contract rates and only include facility fees for services on the date of the procedure; physician and other professional fees may apply, as well as costs for office visits before the procedure, medication and follow-up care.
